B is for ... #atozchallenge

A - Z Challenge 2016

B is for Button
Which are useful for all kinds of things

Buttons can be very useful by helping to keep your clothes fastened so they don't fall off!!

Or made to look elegant and pretty and be an accessory to your desirable fashion!

Early Buttons

Buttons of today

Even chocolate buttons!!

Best of all my collection of buttons ... which I hope everyone ate plenty of over the Easter Holidays!

The History of Buttons is a fascinating read!  Who would of thought there are so many buttons, old and new, in the world! There are even Button collectors!  yes well can all say we have a stash of buttons, or the family tin of buttons that has been passed down from generation to generation!

I have my own little stash of buttons in a Kilner Jar!  Goodness knows that I will never use them all but over the last few years I have been given many and bought the rest!  Well how could I resist! Plus it is lovely to have a choice when embellishing my projects :D  That's my excuse and I am sticking with it!!

My Kilner Jar
Still room for some more buttons though!

Buttons and Ribbons
Standing proud on display!

Many thanks for stopping by!

Have fun!

  1. Buttons are definitely a necessity in all sorts of crafts. I collected most of mine during my scrapbooking days and really ought to ensure I add at least one to each finish. Now to guess what you've written for C... :)

  5. I like the jar full of buttons! Very colorful. I'm going to have to pull mine out of the drawer and let them see the light and vice versa:)

  8. I remember playing with my mother's button box as a child - so many interesting things in side. Some ornate buttons, some plain ones and we always used to sort them, only to dump them all back in afterwards :).

  9. Hi there!

I’m stopping by from the #AtoZChallenge. My mother used to have a huge jar of buttons that I would loved to spill out on the table just to look at the different ones and wonder where they had come from. Lovely reminder post!

I have two blogs in this challenge…my author blog at THE STORY CATCHER (www.donnalmartin.com) and my KICKS Kids Club blog (www.kickskidsclub.blogspot.com) . If you get a chance, check them out and good luck with the challenge!
